Baoji with a 8,000 years civilization and a history of more than 2,770 years, is an important branch of Chinese culture, the seat of Bao study (the study of Baoji). It is called'hometown of emperor Yan','hometown of bronze wares','hometown of Buddha bone','hometown of Shehuo','birthplace of Zhou and Qin civilization','hometown of folk arts and crafts'. Jiangshui River fostered Yan emperor, Zhouyuan Site revived Zhou culture, Fengchu Palace laid down the quadrangle courtyard model, Yong city revived Qin dynasty. There are many national treasures stems from Boji, such as Stone Drum, He Zun, Duke Mao Tripod. Tibetan Buddha bones in Famen temple, Shehuo of Xifu, Fengxiang woodcut New Year paintings, clay sculpture, etc., those all shows the superb Chinese craft.
On the south of Baoji is Qinling mountains and the Weihe river traverses it. The city is"an important town on the silk road" and an important node city along the"One Belt And One Road", with rich tourism resources and beautiful natural scenery.
