世界航线发展大会被誉为全球民航界的“奥运会”。我们非常高兴，全球航空业关注的2018年世界航线发展大会即将在美丽的花城广州拉开帷幕。为了更好地帮助大家了解本届广州世航会的有关情况，我们今天特别邀请了大会主办、承办方的负责人向大家通报有关筹备工作情况。

The World Route Development Forum is hailed as the“Olympic Games” of the global civil aviation sector. We are very pleased that the World Route Development Forum 2018, which is of interest to the global aviation industry, will be held in the beautiful flower city of Guangzhou. In order to better help you understand the Guangzhou World Route Development Forum, we specially invite the heads of the sponsors and organizations of the forum to inform the relevant preparatory work.

Good afternoon everyone. I’m Steven Small, Brand Director for the Routes events, and I’m very pleased to be in Guangzhou for this important occasion.

本周末，2018世界航线发展大会将在广州召开。首先，我要感谢广东省人民政府、广州市人民政府以及广东机场管理集团对举办此次活动的大力支持。在解释选择广州承办这次世界航线发展大会的原因之前，请允许我介绍一下我们组织的这次航线大会及航线发展论坛的有关基本情况。

I would like to begin by thanking the People’s government of Guangdong province, People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality and Guangdong Airport Authority for enabling us to be here today to celebrate World Routes 2018 being held in Guangzhou this coming weekend.

Before I talk about the reasons why Guangzhou was selected to host this year’s World Routes event, I would firstly like to give you give some background to the Routes business and the route development forums that we organize.

博闻/英富曼是世界上最大的企业对企业活动组织者，而世界航线发展大会则是其中的一块业务。我们的航线发展论坛是大会的核心，为航空公司、机场及旅行目的地就开展今后的航空业务提供面对面的交流机会。从年初至今，地区性的航线发展大会已经在南北美洲、亚洲、欧洲以及非洲举行，而作为今年重头戏的世界航线发展论坛将于9月召开。

约3200名业内专家将出席本周末在广州举行的世界航线发展大会。世界航线发展大会每年都会在不同的城市举办，使得航空业界人士可以亲身体验当地机场及旅行目的地所提供的各种设施及服务。为此，我们采用主办城市模式，通过竞标来确定主办方。

Routes is part of UBM/Informa – the largest organizer of business to business events in the world.

Our forums are at the heart of the route development community, providing a meeting place forairlines, airports and destinations to plan and negotiate future air services.

Regional events are held in the Americas, Asia, Europe and Africa at the beginning of the year, and the flagship World Routes forum takes place in September.

Around 3,200 route development professionals are scheduled to attend this year’s World Routes in Guangzhou this weekend.

Routes events move to a new city every year to give members of the aviation industry first-hand experiences of what an airport and destination has to offer. We operate a hosted model and airports and destinations enter a bidding process to host the event.

世界航线发展大会吸引了来自各国旅游部长、航空公司及机场的首席执行官、高级国际航班规划师在内的航空界决策者们。各路精英济济一堂与机场管理层共同探讨全球航空服务的未来。我们与主办方密切协作，以了解并实现主办方的目标，这些目标通常是我们双方所共同希望达成的，比如说开辟新航线，提升旅行目的地的形象甚至是改变人们对主办方的传统印象。能够与主办方共同举办大会，从而服务于航线发展业界，并为之提供良好的营商平台，改善未来的航空服务，我们对此感到骄傲和自豪。

Routes attracts the real decision-makers from the aviation industry including; Ministers of Tourism, CEO’s from both airlines and airports and, of course, senior Airline Network Planners from the world’s airlines who meet with airports to discuss the future of air services throughout the globe.

We work with our hosts to understand and deliver their objectives which usually include the common aims of gaining new routes, raising a destination’s profile and, in some cases, changing people’s perceptions.

We are very proud to create and deliver an event alongside our hosts, which serve the route development community, providing them with an exciting platform to do business and agree on future services.

独立咨询机构约克航空曾经做过一项调研，调研发现，主办过航线论坛的城市相对于没有主办过的竞争对手来说，航线网络扩张的速度更快。这令人信服的证据说明，为何各机场与旅行目的地要角逐大会的主办权。每一条新航线的开辟，都伴随着新的经济增长——新航线带来就业机会、实现商务的互联互通并有助于提振当地的旅游业。因此，每年大会的主办权争夺都异常激烈。

A study by independent consultants York Aviation found that previous hosts of Routes forums have increased their route networks more quickly than their close competitors, so there is a compelling argument for airports and destinations to host our events.

New routes bring massive economic benefits – they create jobs, connect businesses and help to boost tourism. As a consequence, the bidding process to host an event is extremely competitive.

在确定今年世界航线发展大会主办方时，我们希望把目光转回中国，因为中国在未来的五年之内有望成为全球最大的航空市场。

When considering the bids for this particular year’s World Routes, we knew that we wanted to return toChina as the country is set to become the world’s largest aviation market within the next five years.

中国正计划在2020年前新增50座机场，2017年全球旅客吞吐量增长前20名的干线机场，中国占据了11名。而促进航线发展也写入中国十三五规划，将聚集于航线发展的大会放到中国来举办，正可谓顺应天时地利。

It is planning 50 additional airports by 2020 and 11 of the top 20 fastest growing major airports in the world by passenger numbers in 2017 were in China. Hosting World Routes in China is a great fit due to the fact that the event is solely focused on route development and route development is a key tenant of the 13^th Five-year plan.

不过，如果没有合适的主办方和竞标方案，这次大会也不可能在广州召开。早在2015年的时候，广州机场管理当局的专业素养和战略眼光就令我们刮目相看。他们对大会在广州举办志在必得。以白云机场2号航站楼落成投入使用为契机，在广东省人民政府、广州市人民政府以及广东机场管理集团的大力支持下，第24届世界航线发展论坛最终落户广州。2018年世界航线发展大会的举办，将使广州引入新的航空服务，为广州与国内乃至亚洲机场展开竞争助一臂之力。同时，本次盛会也将为广东省和广州市提供向全球航空业界展示自我的机会。

However, without the right host and the right bid the event is not possible and back in 2015 we were extremely impressed with the highly professional and strategically focused Guangzhou Airport Authority team were.

They were so focused and determined in bringing the event to Guangzhou. The Terminal 2 developments at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport together with the alignment of all the key stakeholders; the People’sgovernment of Guangdong province, People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality and Guangdong Airport Authority made Guangzhou the ideal host city for the 24^th World Route Development Forum.

World Routes 2018 will help Guangzhou tocompete with other Chinese and Asian airports by attracting new air services. The event will be an unprecedented opportunity to show the aviation industry what Guangzhou and the Guangdong region has to offer.

We are delighted with how the international route development community has responded to the event being hosted in this city. We have exceeded all our targets for attendance and have been bowled over by the response to the event. We have several first-time attendees joining us this year and have airlines represented from all over the world, including;Ukraine International, Finnair, South African Airways, TUI Group, American Airlines, Virgin Australia, Royal Air Maroc, Delta Air Lines, Norwegian, Southwest Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Air New Zealand, Qatar Airways, All Nippon Airways, Hawaiian and S7 Airlines. In fact, there are 21 carriers attending World Routes 2018 who have never attended a Routes event before.

This is a testament to the attractiveness of the host city.

Welcome to the press conference of the 24th World Route Development Forum. First of all, on behalf of Guangdong Airport Authority, the co-organizer of the event, I would like to extend my warmest welcome and kindest gratitude to all of you!

在广东省、广州市的正确领导和全力支持下，广东机场集团于2015年10月向世界航线发展大会（Routes）主办方英国博闻集团（UBM）正式递交了申办2018年第二十四届世界航线发展大会的申请，并于2016年4月与博闻集团正式签署承办协议，成功取得2018年世航会的承办权。再过六天，来自全球的航空公司、机场、政府及旅游机构的代表将汇聚广州、共襄盛会。为使大会取得更好成果，中国民航局及国内三大航空公司领导也将出席大会，在共同见证盛会之时，共商广东民航发展大计，进一步促进广州国际航空枢纽建设，推动广东民航高质量发展，助推粤港澳大湾区建设。

The much-anticipated World Route Development Forum is going to be held in Guangzhou on September 16 after its successful bidding against fierce competition and intense preparations. This is of great and far-reaching significance for Guangzhou to build itself a“sky-neighboring city” with a day’s travel across the globe, for Guangdong Airport Authority to promote the high-quality development of Guangdong’s civil aviation and become a“world-class airport group”, and for Baiyun Airport to build a world-class aviation hub and a higher-quality“Aviation Silk Road”.

世界航线发展大会被誉为全球民航界的“奥运会”和“世博会”，承办2018年世航会，是广东机场集团深入贯彻落实习近平总书记重要讲话精神和省委省政府、市委市政府决策部署，推动广东民航高质量发展，助力广东省实现“四个走在全国前列”、广州成为“四个走在全国前列”排头兵的重要举措，是展现改革开放四十年成果，宣传广东、广州城市形象的重要契机，对推进广州国际航空枢纽建设，促进广州空港航线网络发展，推动广东省和广州市国际交流合作，实现产业集聚加速、带动区域经济发展具有重要意义。

The World Route Development Forum is the only aviation event in the world that is jointly attended by decision-makers from airlines, airport management agencies, governments and tourism agencies, as well as related industries. Beginning in 1995, this event is held annually. According to statistics from York Aviation, an independent official organization of the UK, the hosting of the World Route Development Forum is bound to have a huge impact on the economic development of the host city, bringing in an expected added value of £122 million over the next three years.

举办世航会对于广东机场集团来说，同样具有非常重要的意义。目前，广东机场集团正处于快速发展的重要时期，高质量发展的最紧迫时期，实现历史性发展的重要机遇期和窗口期。为此，广东机场集团确立了发展的努力方向，就是推进广东民航高质量发展、争创世界一流机场集团。今年4月26日，白云机场2号航站楼和综合交通中心正式启用，机场硬件设施得到了极大提升，这是打造广州国际航空枢纽，推动粤港澳大湾区建设，推动广东“四个走在全国前列”的一项重大举措，也是广东机场集团建设“世界一流机场集团”战略目标道路上的一个重要节点，是白云机场加快建设世界级航空枢纽的重大契机。在迎来改革开放四十周年，广东机场集团争创“世界一流机场集团”征程站上新起点之际，承办世界航线发展大会具有特别重要的意义。

For this reason, major cities worldwide compete to bid for a chance to host this event. To date, the World Route Development Forum has been held successively in Abu Dhabi, London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Dubai, Berlin, Vancouver and other cities. Guangzhou is the third Chinese city to host the World Route Development Forum after Beijing and Chengdu. The hosting of the World Route Development Forum will surely become a new driver for promoting global exchange in economy, trade, culture and tourism, stimulating Guangzhou’s development and boosting the airport economy.

世界航线发展大会是目前全球唯一由航空公司、机场管理机构、政府和旅游机构及相关行业的决策者共同参与的航空盛会，始于1995年，每年举办一届。正因如此，全球各大城市竞相申办。迄今为止，世界航线发展大会已先后在阿布扎比、伦敦、阿姆斯特丹、哥本哈根、迪拜、柏林、温哥华等城市成功举办。广州是继北京、成都之后，第三个成为世界航线发展大会举办东道主的中国城市。截至目前，本届世界航线发展大会，已经接到来自全球112个国家的300多家航空公司、700多家机场管理机构、130多家政府及旅游机构3200多名业内嘉宾，以及全球近百家媒体记者的申请，共计约3500多名嘉宾代表参与。

Up to now, this year’s World Route Development Forum has received applications from over 300 airlines, over 700 airport management agencies, over 130 government and tourism agencies, and nearly 150 media reporters from 112 countries worldwide. A total of more than 3,500 guests and delegates will participate in this event, including elites and big shots from Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Lufthansa, Dubai International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, among others.

本届世航会从9月16日开始，到9月18日结束，展馆设在广州琶洲会展中心、面积达41880平方米，共有2.2/3.2/4.2/5.2四个展馆。其中广东省机场管理集团主展台位于展馆3.2馆中心位置，有近千平方米，将重点展示广州航线网络、航空经济发展、旅游文化等丰富内容。9月16日上午09:00，在广东机场集团主展台将举办大会开幕仪式，并与航空公司签订航线开发合作备忘录。会议期间，主展台还将开设“广州之窗”特色展示，全天候、多时段为嘉宾带来非遗传人现场手艺制作，以及岭南文化、广府文化、美食文化等互动体验，让广大来宾领略羊城之美。

This World Route Development Forum will kick off on September 16 and conclude on September 18. The exhibition will be held at Guangzhou Pazhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, covering an area of 41,880 square meters. There are four exhibition halls numbered 2.2/3.2/4.2/5.2. The main exhibition booth of Guangdong Airport Authority is located in the center of Hall 3.2. In an area of more than 1,000 square meters, it will focus on displaying Guangzhou’s route network, aviation economy development and tourism culture and so on. The grand opening ceremony will be held at the main booth at 09:00 a.m. on September 16, and memoranda of understanding on cooperation in route development will be signed with airlines. During the conference, the main booth will also provide the“Window of Guangzhou” featured display. The bearers of intangible cultural heritage will showcase their craftsmanship on the spot for the guests at different times all day long during the period. There will be interactive experiences on Lingnan culture, Cantonese culture and food culture as well, so that the visitors can appreciate the beauty of Guangzhou.

为了更好地让世界了解广州，让广州走向世界，这次承办方围绕“航空”、“城市”、“经济”三大热词，在5.2馆高峰论坛区举办“三大主题论坛”——其中9月16日10:10-11:55，为“国际航空枢纽战略与城市创新力论坛”；9月16日15:20-17:40，为“临空产业经济论坛”；9月17日09:40-11:55，为“智慧城市与智慧机场论坛”，届时将邀请全球各大机场和航空公司、知名风投机构专家、国家相关产业研究专家、以及来自世界各地业界专家及高层代表共同探讨航空、城市与经济的联动关系，为广州乃至全球城市联通发展问计献策。

To help the attendee better understand Guangzhou and help Guangzhou go global, the organizer will hold three major themed forums at the summit forum area in Hall 5.2 on the three hot topics of“Aviation City”,“Airport-related Industry” and“Smart Innovation”. The“Forum on International Aviation Hub Strategy and Urban Innovation” will be held at 10:10-11:55 on September 16; the“Forum on Airport-related Industry and Economy” will be held at 15:20-17:40 on September 16; the“Forum on Smart City and Smart Airport” will be held at 09:40-11:55 on September 17. At the appointed times, major airports and airlines worldwide, experts from well-known venture capital institutions, relevant national industry research experts, and industry experts and high-level representatives from all over the world will be invited to discuss the linkage among aviation, cities, economy and innovation, so as to“give wings” to Guangzhou and cities worldwide as a whole, creating new opportunities and seeking new development.

此外，会展还设置了广州市旅游推介会、一对一会谈、欢迎晚宴、颁奖晚宴、城市观光游、民俗文艺演出等一系列丰富的活动。会场有一百多平方米的“新闻中心”以及“媒体专访室”，方便中外媒体记者采集资讯、掌握最新动态，更好地向全球推介广州。

In addition, the exhibition features a variety of activities such as the Guangzhou tourism promotion conference, one-on-one meetings, the welcome dinner, the awards dinner, city sightseeing tours, and folk art performances. The venue has a“press center” covering more than 100 square meters and a“media interview room” to help Chinese and foreign media reporters collect information and latest developments, and better promote Guangzhou to the world.

“汇聚广州，连通世界”。作为国际化大都市重要指标，广州的航空网络已经打下坚实的基础。白云机场作为中国三大航空枢纽机场之一，是国家定位的“一带一路”国际航空枢纽，拥有2座航站楼、3条跑道，航站楼面积达118.17万平方米，可满足年起降航班62万架次、旅客吞吐量8000万人次、货邮吞吐量250万吨的运营需求。

We“Gather in Guangzhou to Connect the World.” As an important indicator of an international metropolis, Guangzhou has laid a solid foundation with its aviation network. As one of the three major aviation hub airports in China, Baiyun Airport is a nationally positioned“Belt and Road” international aviation hub. It has two terminal buildings and three runways. The terminals have a building area of 1,181,700 square meters, which can meet the operating needs of 620,000 take-off and landing flights, a passenger throughput of 80 million, and a cargo mail throughput of 2.5 million tons.

截至目前，白云机场共有近80家中外航空公司在运营，通航点超过210个，其中国际和地区通航点接近90个，辐射中国内地航点超过130个。从白云机场出发，两小时航程可以覆盖中国西南、华中、华南地区，四小时航程可覆盖中国及东亚、西亚、南亚、北亚地区，十二个小时航程可覆盖全球主要城市。2017年白云机场旅客吞吐量超过6500万人次，位居全球第13位。年旅客吞吐量同比增幅超过10.2%，与全球排名前13的其余机场相比，增长速度是最快的。2018年，我们还要抓住“一带一路”机遇，结合粤港澳大湾区机场建设，从广州战略定位出发，提出航线拓展计划，开通更多国际直飞航线，与广州一起共享城市发展，全面加快世界级航空枢纽建设进程。

Up to now, nearly 80 Chinese and foreign airlines are operating at Baiyun Airport, with links to more than 210 flight points, including more than 80 international and regional flight points. It radiates to more than 130 destinations in mainland China. Departing from Baiyun Airport, you can reach anywhere in Southwest China, Central China and South China in two hours; reach any point in the entire region of China and East Asia, West Asia, South Asia and North Asia in four hours; and reach any of the major cities around the world in 12 hours. In 2017, Baiyun Airport’s passenger throughput exceeded 65 million, ranking 13th globally. The annual passenger throughput saw a year-on-year increase of more than 10.2%, which is the fastest growth rate compared to the top 13 airports in the world. In 2018, we will also seize the opportunities brought by the Belt and Road Initiative. Coupled with the construction of airports in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the strategic positioning of Guangzhou, we have proposed a route expansion plan to open more international direct flights, share Guangzhou urban development with you, and accelerate the construction of itself as a world-class aviation hub.

世界航线发展大会，被誉为全球民航界的“奥运会”和“世博会”。本届世航会落户广州，主题为“汇聚广州·连通世界”，使得广州成为继北京（2009年）、成都（2016年）之后，中国第三个举办大会的城市，这也是继“亚运会”、“财富论坛”之后，广州举办的又一个全球性大会。届时，来自全球航空公司、机场管理机构、旅游机构及相关行业决策者将齐聚广州、共襄盛会。根据大会注册情况，本届大会将成为世航会史上规模最大的一次。这既是对广州城市发展的认可、检验和期许，更是新时代背景下，加快形成全面开放新格局，推动民航业和临空经济加速发展，促进对外经济贸易与合作交流，提升城市国际形象的宝贵契机。

The World Routes is known as the"Olympic Games" and"World Expo" in the global civil aviation industry. This year’s World Routes will be held in Guangzhou with the theme of“Gathering Guangzhou • Connecting the World”, making Guangzhou the third city in China hold this conference after Beijing (2009) and Chengdu (2016), which is also another global conference was held in Guangzhou following the 16^th Asian Games and the 2017 Fortune Global Forum. Decision-makers from global airlines, airport management agencies, tourism agencies and related industries will gather in Guangzhou for this grand event. According to the registration of the conference, this conference will be the largest in the history of the World Routes. This is not only an acknowledgment, examination and expectation when it comes to Guangzhou's urban development, but also a valuable opportunity to accelerate the formation of a new pattern of comprehensive opening, to foster the development of the civil aviation industry and the airport economy, to promote foreign economic trade and cooperation, and to improve the international image of the city.

近年来，广州作为改革开放的前沿阵地，秉承资源禀赋、发展基础和创新精神，不断优化枢纽型网络城市格局，奋力建设国际航运、航空、科技创新三大战略枢纽，城市的国际竞争力、吸引力和影响力有了进一步提升。广州国际航空枢纽建设取得了较好的成绩，2017年白云国际机场实现旅客吞吐量6584万人次，居中国第3位、全球第13位。其中，国际旅客占比24%，航线网络已覆盖全球220个航点，广州已成为连接澳洲、东亚、东南亚的重要国际中转地。广州空港经济区已初步形成飞机维修及客机改货机、航空物流、航空总部商务、空港跨境电商、飞机租赁五大高端临空产业集群。这些发展成果，既是本届世航会举办的重要基础，也是孕育新机遇、开创新合作、实现新共赢的腾飞之翼。

In recent years, as a frontier of reform and opening up, Guangzhou has been adhering to the resource endowment, development foundation and innovative spirit, constantly optimizing the hub-type network city pattern, and striving to build strategic hubs of international shipping, aviation and technological innovation. In this process, the city's international competitiveness, attraction and influence have been further enhanced. Guangzhou International Aviation Hub has achieved good results. In 2017, Baiyun International Airport achieved a passenger throughput of 65.84 million passengers, ranking third in China and 13th in the world. Among them, international passengers accounted for 24%, the route network has covered 220 destinations around the world, and Guangzhou has become an important international transit point connecting Australia, East Asia and Southeast Asia. Guangzhou Airport Economic Zone has initially formed five high-end airport industrial clusters for aircraft maintenance and passenger aircraft change cargo aircraft, aviation logistics, aviation headquarters business, airport cross-border e-commerce and aircraft leasing. These development achievements are not only an important foundation for the current World Routes, but also a wing for creating new opportunities, cooperating and achieving more win-win situations.

如何看世航会对广州的机遇？

关键是航线大会之后的高质量发展。广东机场集团发展战略非常清晰，广东省有“5+4”机场规划。珠三角5个重要机场，粤东西北4个重要机场，让全省机场布局更合理。机场集团在各个机场都在推进高质量发展的关键时期。本次大会将成为白云枢纽的国际化契机。

出于何种考虑？承办背景？

2015年就开始申办大会，当时白云机场基础设施建设在最关键时期，推进国际枢纽战略上升为国家战略，直到今年上半年两项工程2号航站楼和交通中心相继投入使用，因此，从机场基础建设方面可以选在2018年。而在品质上，白云机场在服务和安全都更进一步。与世航会举办城市的要求相匹配。

世界航线发展大会为何会携手广州？

广州是举办世航大会的“完美之选”。我们寻找的是合作伙伴是从基础设施、交通、酒店等设施都国际化、世界级的成功是。所有这些都让广州成为世航大会举办城市。我们希望能共同努力举办好这届世航会。我们带来了300多个航空公司，这是一个很好的机会让广州能够展示自己的能力。

非常荣幸参与大会，我们都很清楚，通常我们会把一个机场的跑道比喻成一个城市的主干道，这个跑道对于城市的经济和社会发展的来讲是一个重要的动力源，一个国际的大型航空枢纽是一个城市的窗口，也是城市形象的代言人，经济发展的火车头，甚至还会说它是一个对外贸易的桥头堡。在这个过程中，航空公司则是整个城市文明的传播者，他们用他的航线会聚城市连接世界的桥梁。这次世航会恰巧起到了一个将城市、航空公司、机场进行有机连接的桥梁，扮演的是彼此之间相互交流，融合发展的平台。

It is my great honor to participate in the Forum. We all know that we generally compare one runway at the airport to the backbone road of one city. This runway is an important power source for the economic and social development of the city. One international large aviation hub is a window of the city, a spokesman of the city image, an engine of economic development, and even a bridgehead for foreign trade. During this process, the airlines are civilization communicators of the whole city, and utilize their routes to converge bridges of the city to connect the world. This World Route Development Forum coincidentally plays a role of bridge organically connecting the city, airline, and airport, and a platform for mutual exchanges and integration development.

我们都知道史帝芬·斯摩先生很忙，今天已经答了很多问题，我用一个很简单的方式，希望史帝芬·斯摩先生根据自己过去的管理经验，用一个量化的数据简单描绘一下这次航线大会之后，对于广州，对于白云机场会产生什么样的影响。

We all know that Mr. Steven Smo is very busy and has answered a lot of questions today. I hope Mr. Mr. Steven Smo to simply describe the impact of World Route Development Forum on Baiyun Airport by quantitative data in accordance with his own management experience. 

这个问题特别有意思，而且我们也意识对于很多国际化的城市来讲，国际化城市对于我们国际航线或者强有力国际航线的建立都是非常关心的，这也是广州作为一个国际化的大都市希望带来更多国际化的发展，当然毫无疑问现在广州白云机场已经有很强的吞吐能力，很好航线服务能力。同时我也看到广州市政府也希望不断创造更多的机会，帮助本地的民航发展，并且将广东和其它亚洲机场和全球的机场紧密联合在一起。这样的过程也是城市发展的催化剂，同时也向我们展示了城市发展的情况，所以这就能够帮助我们看到广州现在在机场的建设确实投入了很多的精力、人力、物力，如果谈到世界航线发展大会对广州带来的影响，我相信主要有三点：

This question is quite interesting, and we are also aware that international cities become very much interested in the establishment of our international routes or powerful international routes, while as an international metropolis, Guangzhou hope to bring more international development. Of course, there is no doubt that Guangzhou Baiyun Airport has a very strong throughput capacity, and very good route service capacities. Meanwhile, we notice that Guangzhou Municipal Government also hopes to continuously create more opportunities to help the local civil aviation development, and unite Guangdong and other Asian airports and global airports closely together. This process is also the catalyst for city development, and shows the city development to us. So, this can help us to see that Guangzhou has invested a lot of energy, labor resources, and material resources in the construction of airports. If it comes to the impact generated by World Route Development Forum on Guangzhou, I believe there are mainly three points:

第一个经济的性影响，大会将会邀请来自于全世界3500位的代表共聚广州，他们都是来自世界民航界的领袖，包括相关的决策者，将会为城市带来很大的影响。更长期的角度来讲，这种发展大会会为行业带来巨大的影响。在我们的大会发展期间，探讨包括讨论能够帮助我们不断加化广州发展更多的的国际航线，更多的国际航线，这样的论坛也会为本地带来极大的经济影响。所以我们有一个独立的咨询机构，就像我在我的演讲当中和大家提到的，在一个城市举办了世界航线发展大会之后的整体的航线发展能力将会提高9%，而对本地经济贡献率会提升，我相信对广州来说举办此次世界航线发展大会也会带来很大的发展。所以刚才我提到了经济发展，包括航线加速发展。第三个部分是城市发展，广州市是一个令人激动的城市，也是一个真正国际化大都市，我们也希望广州能够真正在国际航线的大图上吸引越来越多的机场伙伴，航空公司的进驻，能够真正不断优化现有的航线服务，我相信这也是可以在广州这个激动人心的城市当中所达到的。

First, economic impact, the Forum will invite 3,500 representatives from all over the world to gather in Guangzhou, and these representatives are all leaders in the world civil aviation, including related decision makers, and will greatly impact the city. In the longer term, this kind of development forum will bring a huge impact on the industry. During the Development Forum, the exploration including discussion can help us to continuously develop more international routes in Guangzhou, and the Forum will also bring a great economic impact on the city. So we have an independent consultation agency, as I have mentioned in my speech to you, the overall route development ability of one city after holding World Route Development Forum will increase 9%, and the local economic contribution rate will also increase. I believe the holding of World Route Development Forum will also bring great development to Guangzhou. So I have mentioned the economic development just now, including the accelerated development of routes. The third is the city development, Guangzhou City is an exciting city and a truly international metropolis. We also hope that Guangzhou can truly attract more and more airport partners in the large map of international routes. The entering of airlines can truly continue to optimize the existing route service, and I believe this is what can be achieved in this exciting city of Guangzhou.

So how do you evaluate Guangzhou City, and what are your expectation towards the future connection between Guangzhou and Ecuador?

非常感谢，大家下午好！厄瓜多尔现在在全球市场当中，特别在中国市场当中，由于我们有很多的鲜花、虾、香蕉、木制品向中国市场的出口，同时我们还有咖啡、椰子这些重要的农产品都从厄瓜多尔进口到中国。同时更为重要的一点，希望来到中国推广旅游资源，包括旅客数量，我觉得都可以通过厄瓜多尔和中国更多的合作不断加强，真正推动这两项市场的发展。本次的航线大会对于我们非常重要，我们也很愿意成为航线大会的当中的一员，因为厄瓜多尔相对来说是一个发展中的国家，我们特别关注的是中国这样大市场机会的发掘。而作为厄瓜多尔的政府方，我们也希望尽我们所能，能够将,厄瓜多尔的更多产品出口中国的市场，比如厄瓜多尔的大虾、水果、包括其它非常重要的农产品，同时希望将厄瓜多尔的旅游资源向中国更多的推广。

In the global market, especially in the Chinese market, Ecuador exports a lot of flowers, shrimps, bananas, and wood products to the Chinese market, and meanwhile China also imports these important agricultural products of coffee and coconut from Ecuador. More importantly, I hope to come to China to promote tourism resource, including the number of visitors. I feel that all these can be continuously strengthened by more cooperation between Ecuador and China, so as to truly promote the development of the two markets. The Forum is very important to us, and we are also willing to become one member of the Forum because Ecuador is a relatively developing country, and we pay special attention to exploring the large market opportunities in China. As the government of Ecuador, we hope to make every effort to export more products in Ecuador to the Chinese market, such as prawns and fruits in Ecuador, including other very important agricultural products, and meanwhile hope to further promote tourism resources of Ecuador in China.

我对的广州的评价和整体的印象，广州确实在短短几年当中取得了非常大的成功，我在广州居住超六年的时间，我看到在本地城市发展上有很大的变化和改善，我希望本次大会取得成功。同时我觉得我们组委会选择广州作为本次大会的主办方的时候，真是做了一个明确的选择。

As for the evaluation and overall impression on Guangzhou, Guangzhou has achieved a great success in a few short years. I have lived in Guangzhou for over six years, and I have noticed great changes and improvement in the local city development. I wish the success of the Forum. Meanwhile, I think that it is really a good choice for our Organization Committee to select Guangzhou as the organizer of this Forum.

我们知道大型的国际航空枢纽，因为丰富的航线网络，还有大规模的客户流量带来的非常著名的“航空城”的效应，接下来这个问想问孙秀清先生，管委会作为广州市的代言人，也是航空城的建设者，您将采取怎样的措施抓住本次世界航线发展大会机遇。

We know that the large international aviation hub brings a very famous effect of"aviation city" because of its abundant route networks as well as a large customer flow. Then, please tell us the measures you will take to grasp the opportunity of the World Route Development Forum because the Administration Committee is the spokesman of Guangzhou City as well as the builder of"aviation city".

首先我觉得这是一个难得推介广州的机会，不忘初心，牢记使命，这是一次航空界的盛会，广州可以利用这个机会充分展示广州在各个方面取得的成就，这也是我们最好践行习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想，推介广州好机会。我觉得这个航线大会，在业界有“奥林匹克运动会”、“世博会”的美誉，全球重要的航空企业和机场的领导人都会到场，对于广州产业这块的触及，航空国际网络进一步的拓展，国际航线的开拓是非常难得的机会，我觉得这个方面也是广州难得的机遇，也代表市委市政府在航空产业招商引资方面抓住机遇，引进一批好的企业落户空港经济区。刚才也说到了，在空港经济区内已经形成了很大飞机客改货的项目，飞机维修项目，航空物流的项目。接下来怎么进一步吸引大型航空产业的入驻，也是难得的机会。航空枢纽，航空城的建设，我们得抓住这个机会，也得借鉴国际一流航空枢纽城市建设好的经验，下一步在航空城的建设方面，我们还要下大力气进一步推动。

First of all, I think this is a rare opportunity to promote Guangzhou. We will remain to original aspiration and bear mission in mind. This is a grand conference in the aviation industry, and Guangzhou can utilize this opportunity to fully demonstrate the achievements achieved by Guangzhou in all respects. This is also the best opportunity for us to fulfill Xi Jinping theory on socialism with Chinese characteristics and promote Guangzhou. The World Route Development Forum enjoys a good reputation of"Olympic Games" and"World Expo" in the industry. All leaders of important aviation enterprises and airports in the world will participate in this Forum. It is a rare opportunity for involvement of the industry in Guangzhou, further expansion of international aviation network and development of international routes. In this aspect, I think it is a rare good opportunity for Guangzhou, and the Municipal Committee and Government may also grasp the opportunity in attracting investments in the aviation industry to introduce a number of good enterprises to settle in Guangzhou Aerotropolis Development District. As I mentioned earlier, the project of modifying passenger aircraft to freighter, project of aircraft maintenance, and aircraft of aviation logistics have formed in the Guangzhou Aerotropolis Development District. Next, it is a rare opportunity to further attract the entering of the large aviation industry. As for the construction of aviation hub and aviation city, we should seize this opportunity and meanwhile draw on the construction experience in international first-class aviation hubs and cities. Next, in the construction of aviation city, we should also make greater efforts for further promotion.

作为国家三大国际航空枢纽之一，白云机场不但肩负建设珠三角世界级经济群的重任，更肩负建设国际大都市和国际枢纽中心的作用，问一下白云机场邱嘉臣先生，白云国际机场将怎样抓住本次世界航线大会机会，实现我们所说的白云启航通达世界的理想。

As one of the three major international aviation hubs in China, Baiyun Airport shoulders the heavy responsibility of constructing not only Pearl River Delta World-class Economic Group, but also the international metropolis and international hub center. 刚才张董事长在发言里面说到，世航会有100多个国家，300多家航空公司，通过办这样的会我觉得应该从三个方面去表达跟展现我们现在一些实力为下一步白云机场拓展航线做工作。第一个方面应该是市场，第二个方面是现有的设施设备，人力，第三个方面是为发展的前景和规划，从这三方面入手做好这次白云机场举办世界航线大会的营销。

President Zhang has mentioned in his speech just now, World Route Development Forum has involved over 100 countries as well as over 300 airlines. By holding such a conference, I think we should express and demonstrate some of our strength from three aspects, so as to further develop routes for Baiyun Airport. We should complete the marketing of Baiyun Airport for holding of World Route Development Forum from the three aspects of market, existing facilities and equipment, and development prospects and planning.

首先市场，白云机场2016年世界吞吐量排15位，2017年13位，今年上半年在11位，也就是说我们在不断往前冲。过去三年我们新开63条国际航线，每年大概是二十多条，我们通航点到了88个，国际跟地区的通航点，2008年42个到现在翻了一番，2008年国际旅客425万，今年将近1800万，增加了4倍，2008年国际货物20万吨，到现在113万吨。通过世航会，我们计划在未来三年计划开通30条国际航线，其中有14个是欧美长航线。所以我们想通过举办这样的会，首先让这么多航空公司了解广州的航空市场体量跟规模，现在广东省，算上大湾区，我们现在在航空的体量在国内排到第一位，这么一个大体量的航空市场，期望有更多的航空公司了解这个市场的重要性。

First, the aspect of market, Baiyun Airport ranked 15th in the world in terms of throughput in 2016, 13th in 2017, and 11th in the first half of this year. This means that we are constantly moving forward. In the past three years, we have opened 63 international routes, about 20 per year. We have 88 international and regional flight points, doubling the figure of 42 in 2008. The number of international passengers reaches nearly 18 million, increasing 4 times from 4.25 million in 2008. The international cargos reach 1.13 million tons from 200,000 tons in 2008. By the World Route Development Forum, we plan to open 30 international routes in the future three years, including 14 long haul Europe and America routes. Therefore, we first want many airlines to understand the aviation market volume and scale in Guangzhou by holding the Forum. Now, Guangdong Province, together with the Greater Bay Area, ranked 1st in terms of the aviation volume in China. For such an aviation market with a large volume, we expect more airlines to under the importance of the market.

第二旅游，我们了解到2016年在广州过夜的国际旅客达到860万人次，为广州直接创造的营收是63亿美元。通过航空快速的发展，商务的交流，旅游的发展是大大的促进，所以对旅游市场也是非常大的发展。我们珠三角广州这个市场也是非常具有活力，快速发展的市场，通过世航会，让航空公司、旅游机构了解广州的航空市场和旅游市场。这次世航会有300多家航空公司，通过这样的会，机场和航空公司可以做一对一、一对多，非常有效，面对面的沟通。我们想象一下，如果去国外跟国外的航空公司推介自己，要走遍一百多个国家，需要多少时间，通过这样的会议是非常有效、直接的面对面沟通，包括机场时刻的安排，都是非常有效的沟通。第二方面通过世航会，特别是今年4月26号二号航站楼跟交通中心启用以后广州目前的杭州楼，T2有65.87万平方米，增加了65个桥。通过基础设施大大的改善，现在的保障能力大幅度的提升，尤其T2好几个，特别是国内转国际，国际转国际，国际转国内流程的提升给游客非常好的体验。还有整个航站楼商业文化各方面配套设施的提升，我们旅客在进入白云机场有一个非常好的体验，愿意到白云机场，通过优秀、良好的服务品质提升我们旅客在世界民航，游客之间对广州比较好的印象，这是展现我们很好基础设施的保障和服务的品质。

Second, as for tourism, we learned that the number of international passengers staying overnight in Guangzhou reached 8.6 million in 2016, directly creating a revenue of 6.3 billion USD for Guangzhou. The rapid aviation development and commercial exchanges will greatly facilitate the tourism development, so the tourism market will be also developed greatly. Our Guangzhou market in Pearl River Delta is also a very dynamic and fast-growing market. The World Route Development Forum lets airlines and tourism agencies understand the aviation market and tourism market in Guangzhou. Over 300 airlines participate in the World Route Development Forum, and by the Forum, airports and airlines can make one-to-one, one-to-many, efficient and face-to-face communication. We can imagine that if you go abroad and promote yourself to foreign airlines, you have to go all over more than 100 countries and spend much time. This Forum provides efficient, and direct face-to-face communication, including the efficient communication in the arrangement of airport schedule. In the second aspect, by World Route Development Forum, especially after the No.2 Terminal and Transportation Center on April 26 this year, the current Terminal in Guangzhou T2 covers 655,800 square meters, increasing 65 bridges. 第三通过世航会也向世界传达白云机场在未来，刚才张董事讲的，八年的规划目标，我们未来会做到什么，现在已经向国家发改委申报第三期航站楼的建设，在未来的一段时间之内，不会太长的时间，我们将建成三座航站楼，五条跑道，年旅客吞吐量将超过1.2个亿。在这么大的市场里面，我们更希望跟更多的航空公司携手合作，同步进步，打造白云机场世界级的航空枢纽。

Third, the World Route Development Forum also delivers the eight-year planning objective of Baiyun Airport to the world, as mentioned by President Zhang. As for what we can achieve in the future, we have reported the construction of Phase III Terminal to the National Development and Reform Commission. In not a long period of time in the future, we will establish three terminals and five runways, with the annual passenger throughput exceeding 120 million. In such a large market, we would prefer to cooperate with more airlines to make progress and build Baiyun Airport into a world-class aviation hub.

我们期待白云机场大发展，也期待它的腾飞，事实上我们更期待将来能够通过这么一个窗口将广州市人民带到我们想去的地方。作为广州市和白云机场重要的战略合作合办，南方航空作为国际机场重要的基地公司，大概现在拥有50%左右市场份额，最后一个问题留给南航市场部总经理吴国翔先生。作为一个大型的基地公司，也是一个世界级网络型航空公司，您怎样看待这次世航大会给我们带来的机遇，同时我们南航又将用怎样的举措助力广州市和白云机场的发展。

We expect the great development and its rapid rise of Baiyun Airport. In fact, we are more looking forward to take Guangzhou people to the desirable places by such a window.As an important strategic partner of Guangzhou City and Baiyun Airport, CSA is an important base company in the international airport, and holds above 50% of the market share. So we give the first question to Mr. Wu Guoxiang - General Manager of Marketing Department of CSA. As a large base company as well as a world-class network airline. We would like to know your attitude on the opportunity brought by the Forum to us, and meanwhile the measures taken by CSA to boost the development of Guangzhou City and Baiyun Airport.

很多人问我，这次开世航会，对南航来说是不是心情比较复杂，因为我们会吸引来自全球超过300家的航空公司飞广州，对于一个主基地航空公司来说底用什么样的心情面对这样的航线大会，在这里跟大家分享一下我们南航的想法。

Many people have asked me whether we have mixed emotions about the holding of the World Route Development Forum because we will attract over 300 airlines around the world to fly to Guangzhou. As for the attitude of a main base airline towards the Forum, I would like to share our opinions here.

首先南航作为广东机场集团重要的战略合作伙伴，我们非常支持，也非常期待，也将和广东省机场集团一道共同助力推动这次世航会在广州的成功举行。航空产业和其他产业最大的区别在于没有任何一家公司提供完整的产品，因为你提供的是空间的位移，所以航空公司需要更多的合作伙伴完善我们的航线网络，为市场提供更加完善的产品。由于航空的特殊性，天空的属性是属于各个不同的国家，所以航空产业和其他产业不同，比如零售产业，家乐福可以开到全球任何一个地方去，但由于天空主权的限制，航空公司不可能在全世界任何一个天空自由飞翔。所以我们希望通过航空公司和航空公司之间的合作，能够让我们自己的旅客，广东广州市的旅客能够飞到他想飞到的地方。所以我们很期待在这次航线大会上，和更多的全球航空业的合作伙伴，不断优化和完善航线网络，提高服务。

First of all, CSA is an important strategic partner of Guangdong Airport Authority, and we provide strong support to, look forward to, and promote the successful holding of World Route Development Forum in Guangzhou together with Guangdong Airport Authority. The greatest difference between aviation industry and other industries lies in that no company provides complete products because you provide the space displacement. So, airlines require more partners to improve our aviation network, and provide more perfect products for the market. Due to the distinctiveness of aviation, the sky space belongs to different countries in its attribute. So the aviation industry is different from other industries. Take the retail industry for an example, Carrefour can open branches in any global place. But due to the restriction of sky sovereignty, airlines can't freely fly in any sky around the world. Therefore, we hope that our own passengers, and passengers in Guangzhou, Guangdong to fly to their desirable places by the cooperation between airlines. So we look forward to continuously optimizing and improving the route network and services together with more global partners in the airline industry in the Forum.

第二，一个机场要实现跨越式的发展，仅靠点对点的航空网络不足以支撑，点到点航空的流量主要取决于当地的人口、经济规模、经济增长、贸易流量等等。法兰克福是一个只有两百万人的小城市，但是是全球重要的航空枢纽。所以枢纽的打造希望有更多的航空公司利用同一个机场完成这个机场客源之间相互的交换，尤其在我们身边，重要的航空枢纽都在我们的身边，新加坡，香港、东京、首尔都在我们身边，如果不从广州中转，一样可以从其他的机场完成中转。所以我们希望我们和广东机场集团一起共同打造或者共同做优做强广州枢纽，让全世界更多的旅客愿意到广州中转。一个中转旅客给一个机场吞吐量的贡献，是一个点到点旅客的两倍。

Second, only the point-to-point aviation network is not enough to support the leap-forward development of one airport. The traffic of point-to-point aviation mainly depends on the local population, economic scale, economic growth, trade flow, etc. Frankfort is a global important aviation hub although it is a small city with a population of only two million. Therefore, for the building of a hub, we hope more airlines to utilize the same airport to completion the mutual transfer between airports and passenger sources. Especially near us, the important aviation hubs are near us, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Seoul. The transit may be completed from other airports if the transit is not completed from Guangzhou. Therefore, we hope to jointly build or develop Guangzhou hub better and stronger together with Guangdong Airport Authority, and let more passengers all over the world are willing to go to Guangzhou for transit. The contribution of one transit passenger to one airport throughout is twice that of one point-to-point passenger to one airport throughout.

去年我们在广州白云机场吞吐量占比已经超过55%，我们已经是广州最大的基地公司，而且南航今年飞机规模将超过800家，我们是亚洲最大的航空公司，我们是全球第四个航空公司，所以我们也相信南航有这样的胸怀，也有这样的实力，能够和机场集团一起共建广州枢纽。我们非常开放希望所有的航空公司，所有全球航空业的合作伙伴都来飞广州，为广州机场的繁荣贡献我们的力量。同时我觉得这些所有来飞的航空公司都将成为我们现在和未来的合作伙伴，我们能够共同让广州航空市场更加繁荣，我们有更多的旅客愿意选择在广州转机，把广州的枢纽做得更实，更坚强。

Last year, our Guangzhou Baiyun Airport occupied over 55% of the throughput. We have become the largest base company, and CSA will have 800 aircrafts. We become the largest airline in Asia and the fourth largest airline in the world. So we also believe CSA have the ambition and strength to build Guangzhou hub together with Guangdong Airport Authority. We are very open and hope that all airlines and all global partners in the airline industry to fly to Guangzhou contribute to the prosperity of Guangzhou Airport. Meanwhile, I think all airlines flying to Guangzhou will become our current and future partners. We can jointly make the Guangzhou aviation market more prosperous, and more passengers will be willing to select Guangzhou for transit. We will make the Guangzhou hub more solid and stronger.

广州要打造航空城，怎么打造，光靠点对点的客源是远远不够，所以我们更希望把枢纽做好，对南航也是有帮助的。未来我们也期待和广东省机场集团一起为广州的城市建设，经济发展作出努力。中国有一句老话，百闻不如一见，让所有航空界的朋友借此世航会来亲身体验一下广州，了解一下广州，增进对广州的认识，也增进大家飞广州的信心，我们很期待这次世航大会能够取得圆满的成功。

It is far not enough for Guangzhou to build an aviation city by relying only on point-to-point passenger sources, so we hope to build the hub well, which is also helpful for CSA.
